Jacqueline Ryan creates unique, one-off ceramics in a cosy studio space between Kinvara and Galway city. Inspired by nature, dreams, folklore and inner process, her ceramic art ranges from vessel to wall art to large-scale sculptural. Jacqueline divides her time between art-making and teaching, so the studio is always abuzz with creativity. Commission requests are welcome, however, Jacqueline's focus is on creating artwork that challenges and inspires, so only selects projects that feel like a creative match.

Creative Clay Classes

Jacqueline teaches three regular classes per week where adults come to explore the world of creativity through clay. Her teaching style is supportive and calm, and classes are mixed level. Having a keen interest in art-as-therapy, her focus is on enabling your innate creative ability rather than producing a product.

The studio is well equipped with all you need to learn basic techniques, nurture creativity, and develop your own unique style.

Various events run at the studio throughout the year; from the annual Christmas studio sale to Raku days and weekend workshops.

With a keen interest in well-being through creativity, Jacqueline runs The Artist's Way course regularly as well as other one-off creative offerings.

Acknowledging the fact that The Artist's Way was first published in 1992, I am currently developing a 6 week AW course that features all the tools, supports and fun from the original, yet, is a more manageable process in these busy times.

CLASSROOM BASED CREATIVITY

I have completed a number of projects with schools in county Galway. I work with the children to develop project ideas through presentations, drawing and team work. We work together to bring a creative clay project to fruition.
